Queensland’s next generation of digital entrepreneurs will be raised in Forest Lake as they benefit from the Palaszczuk Government’s Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow grants program.
Member for Algester Leeanne Enoch congratulated local schools on leading the charge for digital literacy.
“It is great see our local schools being leaders in teaching coding and robotics,” he/she said.
“Digital literacy is a vital part of ensuring that students are prepared for the jobs of the future.
“The Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow program is supporting our schools to create innovative educational programs in coding and robotics.”
Ms Enoch said the Forest Lake State High School receiving would be receiving a $16,600 Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow
“These grants support programs that give students an opportunity to connect with entrepreneurs and innovators,” he/she said.
“These initiatives are going to provide students with the chance to learn real world skills and become budding innovators.
“Congratulations to Forest Lake State High School on being a part of this exciting initiative.”
Ms Enoch said that Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow was another example of the Palaszczuk Government’s commitment to skilling Queensland students for 21st century jobs.
“We want to be able to prepare students for the digital job market with real world skills and this program will give our students the best chance at success,” he/she said.
One hundred schools around Queensland received Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow grants as part of the Palaszczuk Government’s Advancing Education – An action plan for education in Queensland.
