Member for Algester Leeanne Enoch is proud to join with community members to demonstrate the need for a Men’s Shed.
Representatives of the Men’s Shed have met with Ms Enoch to see how she can assist them in finding a suitable location for their organisation.
“Since being elected I have been working closely with representatives from the Men’s Shed to find a site for our own shed servicing the community of Forest Lake, Pallara and Heathwood”.
“I believe that if we can demonstrate community support for a Men’s Shed that we have a greater chance to find a location.
“We need as many signatures as we can get show the need for these facilities. I know the benefits of Men’s Shed and I’m working hard to find potential sites.
“A show of community support will help me to make the case for the provision of a site”.
President of the Forest Lake Men’s Shed Inc, Steve Bruford welcomed the support and encouraged people to sign up to the campaign.
“We are very lucky to have the support of our representatives to find a location for the Men’s Shed.”
“Men’s Sheds support men in the community to build friendships, widen their social sphere and encourage and support men’s health and wellbeing.
“This petition is about asking the community to help us to make the Men’s shed a reality.”
